CLEANSE YOUR MIND AND REFRESH YOUR BODY

PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field. It might be a new concept to you but PEMF goes back to the 19th century when Nikola Tesla discovered that electromagnetic energy could be used for healing.
PEMF was FDA-approved in 1979 for nonunions of bone. Today, the FDA also approves PEMF for fractures that fail to heal, stimulations bone growth for conditions like osteoporosis, reducing pain and swelling, and for medication and treatment-resistant depression.
The pain-relieving aspects of PEMF are well documented. The FEI (governing body of elite-level Equestrian competition) has banned PEMF at the FEI level competition because of its strong, proven analgesic effect. (The concern being a horse could be treated with PEMF prior to competing and an injury could potentially be masked).
PEMF Therapy in NC - GH WellnessPEMF is a safe, drug-free, non-invasive wellness approach. The electromagnetic fields are at a lower frequency than mobile devices and household appliances. PEMF generally comes in two flavors — low impact and high impact. I utilize both. Interestingly, PEMF for humans and animals often has an emotional impact, providing a release of mental tension.
PEMF, like laser, is a stable of rehab centers, pro sports teams locker rooms, clinics, race tracks and clinics of holistic professionals.
I do not PEMF clients with pacemakers or any other implanted device, (defibrillator, mental joint plate, cochlear implant, etc. ), clients who are pregnant, clients who have seizures or have received an organ transplant.
Low-intensity PEMF is relaxing with some clients experiencing a tingling sensation. Higher intensity PEMF which is typically used to reduce pain and release muscle tension can cause muscles to vibrate and jump. The muscle vibration follows the path of inflammation in the body. I work with the clients to ensure effectiveness while being comfortable throughout the session.
It is important to be well-hydrated before and after PEMF.
I use a low-intensity PEMF mat as well as a high-intensity PEMF 8000 unit which uses coils that are placed on various parts of body. For people, the coils are used to supplement areas needing more release, while the client lays on the mat. Dogs typically do well laying on a low-intensity mat and horses do well with large body coils being moved in 2-minute increments around their body.
Sessions are typically 60 min.
